Dr Louis Chan has a special interest in holistic dentistry with a focus on orthodontics and TMJ treatment. Since 1998, he has been researching treatments which are holistic to help children and adults develop a healthy body with great facial balance.

Dr Chan has continued his education courses in a variety of fields and in 2011, 2012 he elected to complete all 7 core courses at LVI Australia in neuromuscular dentistry graduating in 29th LVI Core 7 group in the world. Learn more here

Continually seeking out the latest medical approaches, Dr Chan also elected to undertake a world leading TMJ & Sleep Therapy mini-residency and hands on course with world renowned Dr Olmos.

In his spare time Louis enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, taking photos and motor sports.

Meet Dr Jacob Smith

Dr Smith graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours before starting his career as a Lieutenant in the Navy. Over the first two years in the Australian Defence Force, he was mentored in all aspects of clinical dentistry by numerous specialists in the areas of endodontics,

prosthodontics and periodontics. After those years of initial training Dr Smith progressed onto the fleet team where he spent a brief period as the Acting Fleet Dental Surgeon.

Moving from the Navy Dr Smith worked in a small number of private practices honing his skills in implant, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr Smith has also shown a desire to continually undergo education to provide the most up to date dentistry for his patients studying courses in a variety of fields. Recently Dr Smith has graduated with Distinction from Charles Sturt University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology and is in the process of completing a Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Dentistry with the prestigious Kings College in London.

Outside of work Dr Smith enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Meet Dr Joo Choi (BDSc, BMLSc, FICOI)

With more than a decade of experience, Dr Choi looks forward to continuing the tradition of providing high quality, holistic healthcare.

Dr Choi received her Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) from the University of Western Australia, and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLSc) from the University of Otago, New Zealand. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) and International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Over the past decade, Dr Choi has advanced her skills through her passion and commitment to continuing education. This has seen her attain a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (the world’s largest implant organisation). In addition to implants, Dr Choi has special interests in the fields of orthopaedics and orthodontics, orofacial pain, sleep-disordered breathing and cosmetic dentistry. Apart from being a skilled dentist, she is a skilled linguist, being fluent in Korean.

We’re confident that her gentle touch and warm personality will allow you to relax in the dental chair. Dr Choi loves helping people and delights in treating patients from the time they are babies all the way through to later in life. This commitment to continuity of care comes from a strong ethos of a preventive approach to optimal health, as she provides the skills and education for patients to maintain their own health.

Dr Yudith Kartiko is a dentist who takes a holistic approach to the treatment of her patients and is most passionate in helping them achieving their dental goals, whatever that might be, with excellence.

She has had extensive experience in dentistry ranging from Restorative/Aesthetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Laser Dentistry, and everything in between.

She holds a dental degree from the University of Sydney with Honours (2003) . She also holds Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology (Charles Sturt University), Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics (City of London University).

She is a member of various Professional Dental Associations, the notable ones being the Australian Dental Association, International Association of Orthodontics, and International Team for Implantology.

Dr Yudith loves dentistry. She continually updates and refines her skills and knowledge through Continuing Professional Developments courses at local and international level.

Dr Yudith is also a mother of two. When not doing dentistry, she finds joy in playing and teaching piano.
